Introducing The Flenser Membership SERIES TWO, a curated selection of 2020’s new Flenser releases. Members will receive eight LPs and one 7 inch. These will all be special editions unique to members only, meaning either special vinyl colors or supplemental artwork that isn't available to anyone else. Additionally, SERIES TWO members will be receiving an exclusive LP not available for sale anywhere else.
In 2019, the SERIES ONE membership contained Drowse’s “Second Self” in collaboration with Lane from Elizabeth Colour Wheel. SERIES TWO will feature an exclusive release of similar quality featuring a classic Flenser artist in collaboration with a good friend of the label.
Our first release of 2020 will be Mamaleek’s “Come & See,” a new phase for Mamaleek featuring a full-lineup and more psychedelic than previous efforts. This release is much in the spirit of Mamaleek’s upcoming Roadburn 2020 performance for the Flenser 10 year anniversary showcase.
Our second release of 2020 will be Midwife’s “Forever." "Forever" is absolutely crushing. It’s largely about the death of a close friend and constructs an extremely sad and relatable narrative that I think will resonate with many of us that have experienced loss in various forms. For me, Midwife is able to successfully take on universal themes and make them feel extremely personal, as if crafted individually for each listener.
Giles Corey’s classic EP “Hinterkaifeck” will see vinyl for the first time. SERIES TWO members will get a screen printed edition of this essential moment in the discography of Dan Barrett.

In addition to the new albums we have planned for 2020, there will be a number of reissues and represses from our back catalog. Series Two will include new releases only, so long-time fans of the label won't have to worry about receiving doubles of albums they already own. However, we are going to be reissuing two classics this year: Giles Corey “Giles Corey” Gatefold LP+book as well as Planning For Burial’s “Leaving” 3LP. SERIES TWO members can opt into the EXTREME EDITION of SERIES TWO to include these.
