"The weathervane is my body" by Truck Violence is officially out today on all platforms.
The French Canadian band's first release via The Flenser draws from an array of post-hardcore, sludge, and noise rock influences. With lyrics that deride the fascist rhetoric and machinations of today's political elite, Truck Violence infuses an articulate rage into their heavy, distorted tracks. Two of the band members were raised in a small town in rural Alberta; a re-creation of one of their childhood home's graces the album cover. As the album cover suggests, the marginality of rural life informs the band's songwriting and orients their disaffection.
