OKC noise rockers Chat Pile and Texas-raised, Oklahoma-based fingerpicking guitarist and composer Hayden Pedigo have teamed up for a new collaborative LP, In The Earth Again. The album unravels new, yet-to-be-explored layers of complexity for the musicians' artistic visions. In the Earth Again presents a portrait of societal decay, characterized by the brutality of the active apocalypse and the eerie stillness in its aftermath. Listen to the second single, "Demon Time," and watch the accompanying video now.
About "Demon Time," Chat Pile's vocalist Raygun Busch says the following:
"Speaking to Yeats’ widening gyre, things are falling apart. Bad to worse or painful move towards something better is anyone’s guess, but we are living through a difficult time. The cycle continues forever, though. This is one of the first songs we recorded for the new record and is the wellspring from which the rest of the lyrical ideas flow."
Pedigo adds:
"This track feels like the gateway to the rest of the album. The calm before the storm. It might be my favorite track on the record just because it sets the tone so well. It’s eerie calm and you know something might be coming around the corner."
In The Earth Again will be released October 31st via Computer Students and The Flenser.
